Each pottery piece is lovingly handcrafted using traditional techniques passed down through generations in Fayoum, Egypt. Our artisans shape and paint every piece by hand, using locally sourced clay that reflects the natural beauty of their surroundings. These slight variations in shape, design, and color are part of the charm, making each piece as unique as the hands that crafted it.

Fayoum’s long-standing pottery tradition has been revitalized over the years, thanks to initiatives like Evelyne Porret’s pottery school in the village of Tunis, which helped bring international recognition to the region’s craftsmanship. Today, our artisans carry forward this legacy, blending traditional methods with their personal creativity to ensure every piece tells a story of culture and artistry.

Our Care Instructions

To care for our handcrafted pottery, we recommend washing it gently by hand with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing tools to protect the finish and design. While durable, our pottery is best kept out of the dishwasher and microwave to ensure it lasts for years to come. By handling it with care, you help preserve the skill and dedication that our artisans put into every piece.
